About the blog: I like to describe 1WineDude.com as “edu-tainment for the Intermediate wine lover.” So, I cover any topic in the world of wine that I think readers will enjoy, and those readers typically are not “beginner” wine lovers but have a really good foundation in wine already. I try to teach those readers something new, and encourage them to give their own thoughts on the topics, all the while keeping things entertaining so that they might learn something maybe without realizing it!
Brief view of Argentinian wines: I think Argentina is in a great place with their wines in terms of the U.S. market – the question for me is, what will they do to capitalize on it? People in the U.S. love Malbec from Argentina, because it’s consistently good and inexpensive – and with the economy being in bad shape in the U.S., people are looking for wines that are inexpensive and over-deliver on value. If Argentinian wineries made a push to advertise their quality and value, they might strengthen their position in the U.S. market. I mean, I don’t know too many people who don’t like Argentinian Malbec right now!
