Wine was the luxury guest in a golden night

With a successful attendance, the 15th “Degustación de Oro” (Golden Tasting) was performed on Friday 2nd July at Sheraton Hotel, Mendoza. APEAA (Wine and Food Professionals Association of Argentina) awarded the best winemakers of fifteen high quality wines, which achieved important international awards last year.

In the June edition, Wine & Spirits magazine highlighted the best 27 Argentinian Malbec. The selection was in charge of Patricio Tapia, Wine & Spirits`s critic for wines from Argentina. Moreover, the US magazine also included five Argentinian wines among the “100 Top Values of the Year”.

The chosen wines are those that have received medals and important awards in international contests and magazines, such as Wine Advocate and Wine Spectator. Moreover, the wine tasted when Barack Obama was inaugurated as President of the United States will also be included among the 15 wines.

The seminars Argentina’s Malbec: a Host of Stars in the World of Wine and Going for Gold were held in the context of the Vancouver Playhouse Festival, the most important wine event in Canada and one of the most important fairs in North America. The seminars were attended by 120 participants, including members of the press, buyers, writers, consumers and wine experts from all over Canada.
