The fourth consecutive edition of the Argentina Wine Awards, the country`s most important wine contest, has taken place with a record participation of 650 wine samples. The competition produced 18 Trophies, 30 gold medals, 182 silver medals and 260 bronze medals.

At the end of 2009, the famous US taster Stephen Tanzer tasted wines from more than 50 Argentinian producers. He rated these wines between 87 and 94 points. The best scores were achieved by Bodega Catena Zapata, Achával Ferrer, Viña Alicia, Poesía, Susana Balbo, Mendel and Noemia.
