Carla Chiaro – Santos J. Carelli

September 22, 2010 | in My Wine Story

Carelli Family winemaking tradition began in Mombercceli, Italy. Santos José Carelli acquired the winery in Mendoza in 1943, and planted the first vineyards with high quality grapes for winemaking. The third generation is currently participating in the project, under the direction of Santos’s son, Enrique Carelli, who continues incorporating new technology with the same entrepreneurial spirit of its founder. In 2007, at age 15 the oldest granddaughter of Enrique (initiator of the fourth generation in Argentina), was born the line of wines bearing her name: “Carla Chiaro”
