On Friday 17 September, Finca Decero presented to the public its new gastronomic service in charge of the Chef Matías Podestá and announced that it will start marketing its wines in the domestic market.
The announcement was made by the company’s CEO, Juan Marcó, who highlighted: “apart from presenting our restaurant, we will start marketing our wines in Mendoza with the help of Wine Forward (Exequiel Araya – Azafrán) and another company in Buenos Aires.”
The commercial development will be performed with the aim of selling very small volumes in the domestic market. According to Marcó, we will market between 300 and 400 12-bottle cases in the on trade channel (mainly in restaurants).
“Currently, we send all our wines abroad. 65% is exported to United States, 20% to Switzerland and the rest is exported to United Kingdom and other countries,” said Juan Marcó. “This year we will achieve the objective of selling 17,000 cases in the foreign market; and for 2011, we expect to sell between 25,000 and 30,000 wine cases and invest heavily in the vineyard protection with anti hail netting,” he added.
The restaurant
With a very cozy and well cared atmosphere, Decero restaurant will offer a three-course menu paired with the winery’s wines (Finca Decero Malbec 2008, Finca Decero Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 and Finca Decero Syrah 2007).
“The menu we offer will be updated every season and will include three courses,” explained Matías Podesta, the Chef in charge of the restaurant’s delicacies.
