Currently, Argentina`s wine industry is undergoing big changes due to the opening of export markets, which has encouraged winemakers and agronomists to greater specialization and constant updating, both in Argentina and abroad. This can be seen in the great success of Argentinian wines in terms of quality and prestige. Considering the country`s viticulture and geographic diversity, thre is also a specialization according to the denomination of origin, such as Malbec in Mendoza, Pinot Noir in Patagonia, and Torrontés in Salta. It is also important to bear in mind the great foreign investment in the country, which has undoubtedly helped in the commercial boom of the last years.
