Luigi Bosca, the first Argentine winery in the Arabic countries

On October 5th, the winery celebrated in Mendoza its 110 years of life through a gathering with local journalists. The company, founded by Leonicio Arizu and that now is run by the fourth generation of the family, announced this year’s achievements. “Luigi Bosca is the leading winery in the Arabic countries and number one in sales in countries like Qatar”, pointed out Alberto Arizu (Jr), sales director and great-grandson of the founder. “This is not a minor accomplishment since these markets, like Bahreiny Dubai, are sophisticated and luxurious. Nowadays the firm has reached an outstanding position in the world with presence in over 50 countries. We are within the first exporters in the high prices segment”. Besides, Luigi Bosca has the highest average price of exports and is the 9th exporter winery of Argentina. He also added “The brand La Linda has given an excellent performance in the range of FOB USD 26-39, the highest price segment in the international market”. Arizu anticipated that the company will invest in extending cultivated land in Uco Valley and in the north of Luján de Cuyo. Today, the company owns 700 hectares.
