Organic grapes in Uco Valley: Jean Bousquet

15 years ago, Jean bought 400 hectares (250ha already planted) that allowed him to produce 80,000 bottles. Currently, Domaine Jean Bousquet produces around 3,000,000 bottles and after the incorporation of the family into the business in 2005, the winery broadened its horizons and today its excellent wines are sold in Argentina and in 40 other countries.

Not only the taste and quality of its wines are its main features, but also the essence of its vineyards that produce organic grapes.

Why organic?

“We are dedicated to organic cultivation while we improve our lands’ biodiversity. We believe that the healthier vineyards are, the better quality of the fruit and wine will be” says Miguel Lenin Martínez, winemaker of the firm.

“Our organic grapes offer fruit quality and flavor vitality hard to find in traditional wines. Though organic vineyards reach lower yields, they achieve better concentration and flavor than those vineyards handled with agrochemicals. This allows unique fruit flavors to stand out in an amazing way.
