Silver and Gold medals to Finca el Origen’s Malbecs

The Dallas Morning News and TexSom Wine Competition (DMNTWC) has announced the winners out of the 2,768 samples sent from 18 countries and 30 US states. This sums up a total of 54,848 wines tasted in the 27 years this competition has been taking place.

Finca el Origen Malbec Reserva 2009 was awarded a Gold medal, while Finca el Origen Gran Reserva Malbec 2009 won a Silver medal. All the results are published at www.dallaswinecomp.com

The grapes of the two awarded wines come from “La Esperanza” vineyards, located in Uco Valley, Mendoza, at the foot of the los Andes Mountains, 4,000 ft above sea level.
