Budeguer

Budeguer

Budeguer awarded at Concours Mondial de Bruxelles

Budeguer winery is rather new in the wine world. In 2005, the Budeguer family bought the first 100 hectares in Agrelo and Maipú, in the province of Mendoza. In 2008 the first vintage of its wines was released carrying the knowledge of winemaker Juan Manuel Mallea.

In the the 2012 edition of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, Budeguer achieved two awards. Its wine 2009 Patrimonio Malbec obtained a Gold medal, while the 2010 Budeguer 4000 Cabernet Sauvignon won a silver medal.

A total 8,397 wines and spirits from 52 producer countries competed in 2012 Concours Mondial de Bruxelles in Guimarães (Portugal) from May 4-6 before a hand-picked selection of some of the world’s foremost tasters. Sommeliers, wine buyers, importers, journalists and wine writers – in all 320 wines and spirits tasters representing 40 nationalities – gathered for 3 days to judge this year’s entries. The diverse range both of entries and backgrounds of the tasters themselves is one of the archetypal features of a competition that in just a few years has emerged as a world wine and spirits ‘tasting championship’.
