To commemorate the day of the declaration of Argentina’s independence, July 9 1816, DiamAndes opens the door of its striking winery at the foot of the Andes Mountains in Uco Valley and offers a delicious menu with the best flavors of this land.
The “Menu Criollo” begins with a starter of cheese and scallion fried pies matched with L’Argentin de Malartic Rosé 2011. As a main course, veal medallion with stewed lentils and grilled tomatoes paired with DiamAndes de Uco Malbec 2010. To finish with this special lunch, Diamandes puts on the table one of the most traditional desserts in Argentina: “arroz con leche” (rice pudding) and cinnamon and mini quince fried pies.
