About us
Its wines are the result of a long-standing winemaking tradition and the proof of a marked drive for constant improvement.
Finca Eugenio Bustos was created with the aim of developing a portfolio of wines that express the identity of the unique terroir in which the vineyards are located. The Uco Valley and mainly the Malbec wine made there have been internationally recognized.
Named after pioneer Don Eugenio Bustos, from its very beginning, the company has made an effort to keep his visionary spirit alive, regarding both the environment conservation and his search for constant improvement. Every year, the company carefully assesses its environmental management quantitative indicators and seeks to reduce energy consumption and pollution levels.
The Single Vineyard
The single vineyard of Finca Eugenio Bustos is located at approximately 1,000 meters above sea level, in the town that bears its name, in San Carlos, Uco Valley, 110 km away from the city of Mendoza.
This 100-hectare estate was prepared for growing top quality grapes by ensuring optimum plant density.
Vineyards are irrigated by means of traditional irrigation systems using melt water from the Andes, coming from the Tunuyán River. This system contributes to an efficient use of water resources.
The estate's soil and weather conditions are ideal for the production of premium wines as they allow for a slow, balanced ripening of grapes, offering a high natural acidity, firm but mature tannins and an intense color, all of which are typical of wines with great aging capacity.
