Tasting notes

Sight: bright, medium ruby-red

Nose: subdued aromas of dark fruits, chocolate and licorice

Mouth: silky-smooth and broad on the palate, with an absence of edges to the dark raspberry and spice flavors. Finishes with rather suave tannins and good length and lift.

Maximum Average Temperature 91.4 ºF. Average Thermal Amplitude 60.8 ºF. Annual Average Rainfall 7.28 in. Water supply from the Tunuyan River.

Winemaking

Vat: 70% of the wine; 70% French and 30% American oak during 12 months (50% new)
Alcoholic fermentation: fermentation in 10.000 lts tanks, with controlled temperature, 3 days with cold pre fermentative maceration at 9°C; afterwards, 10 days at 27°C.
Malolactic fermentation: 100%
Maceration: during 28 days at 72 - 77º F
